Exhibited artist: Amélie Jodoin
Following a recent residency in the South of France, Amélie Jodoin presents a new body of playful canvases inspired by French delights. Always casting a playful eye on her environment, Jodoin is interested in the transformation of existing images and the metamorphosis of the landscapes in which she finds herself. Her polychrome paintings with playful and enigmatic universes present scenes based on reality, where sometimes trivial objects from present or past daily life are unexpectedly slipped in.
Amélie Jodoin holds a Bachelor of Visual and Media Arts from UQAM (2016). She has recently exhibited at Tub Hackney in London, Spring/Break in New York, and at the Plural and Future fairs. Her works are included in the collections of Google, Ubisoft and other private collections.
