Bradley Ertaskiran is pleased to host the launch of “Fast Moving Sun”, a publication celebrating the work of Veronika Pausova following her major solo exhibition at the Esker Foundation in 2022. The soundtrack for the video work “Transvasements” is taken from a “psychedelic” recording session by MOAB, performed on the night of April 3 at studio presqu’île, in Montreal.

Claude Tousignant is a Quebec abstract painter who has maintained a regular studio practice for the past sixty years. Now in his nineties, his pace of work has begun to slow. In the spring of 2021, his daughter Zoë brought a camera into the studio’s private space to document the making of a painting – apparently his last. What emerges is a sensitive portrait of an introverted artist who always preferred his own company to that of others. Like Tousignant’s works, the film appeals to the senses through vibrant colors and powerful silence.

The film screening will be followed by a discussion with the director and a guided tour of the exhibition “Claude Tousignant: Tableaux récents et autres merveilles”.
